The Gallery provides the local university community, residents of west Alabama and visitors with an opportunity to view the work of mid-career artists who enjoy regional as well as national recognition. The Sarah Moody Gallery maintains a permanent collection of works on paper, which it began in 1967 and continues to expand. Each year the collection is featured in the gallery, with particular emphasis given to new acquisitions. The collection includes works by Robert Rauschenberg, Garland Hall. Works are acquired through the support of the Farley Moody Galbraith Endowment Fund. Other campus galleries include the Ferguson Center Gallery and the Art Students League Gallery in Woods Hall (open: Mon-Fri. 9am-4:30pm; Sun, 2pm-5pm).
