Amanoi is a 75-minute drive from Cam Ranh Airport, which serves the Nha Trang area away along the road. The final part of the journey travels through the scenic National Park. The massive resort grounds are very spread out. It helps that someone is showing the way or you may get lost. Amanoi is designed by Belgian-born Jean-Michel Gathy. People of my kind like to call themselves ‘Aman Junkies’. Aman junkies are not always ultra-wealthy people. I prefer to spend my money on 2 nights in an Aman resort over 2 weeks in another hotel. I filmed this sequence in the early morning as not to disturb other guests and the staff. The so-called cliff pool is close to the central pavilion and enjoys an amazing view. I enjoyed sunny weather during my holiday in May.
