Partis College was built between 1825-27. It takes its name from the founders, Ann and Fletcher Partis, who wished to provide aid and accommodation for women left ‘in reduced circumstances’. It contains thirty terraced houses, together with a chapel, and provides homes for women over 50 who are members of the Church of England. It stands on Newbridge Hill.
