For example, make yourself travel at least a few times per year, to different locations. When you do, get familiarised with the place.
This would give you the chance to learn a lot about the locations, the people, and culture. From your personal experience, you could create excellent recommendations and help your customers choose the right destination. More importantly, the travel experience gives you the much needed credibility.
